My first Hello Waffle eyeshadows (and a blush!)

Let me just say… Shannon, my IMAM exchange partner, is absolutely amazing. I hope she knows just how amazing she is! The first time I swatched Hello Waffle, I was in love. Pure, unadulterated love.

She said that she saw in my collection (yes, I keep a Google shared doc of my collection – I’m a Type A nerd!) that I was missing Hello Waffle, and she just had to rectify that. Geeze I am glad she did. No wonder everyone obsesses over HW. It’s like applying butter to your face, it’s so smooth.

She sent me a full size of Hot Crossed Bunnies and samples of the others. Just a note, all swatches are Nars Smudge Proof Primer on the left and Darling Girl Glitter Glue on the right.

Hot Crossed Bunnies – This is a stunning lilac with a strong gold shift. It’s pure perfection. From what I’ve heard, this was a special, one-time eyeshadow that Christine made. But, it was so popular, that it became part of the regular lineup. Thank goodness for that! Of this collection, this is my favorite. AND it has bunnies in the name. What’s not to like?!

Belle – This is a bright bubblegum pink. It’s satin without much in the way of sparkles. When I swatched it, I thought it was an eyeshadow…. so I swatched it as such. But after research, it’s actually a blush! I am going to have to give it a try. It will make a really lovely blush.

Fey – This is similar to Fyrinnae’s Rapunzel Had Extensions, but different. It’s a beautiful rose gold, whereas RHE is more orange with a strong gold shift. This is an eyeshadow that I think pretty much everyone in the universe should have in their collection.

Tchaikovsky – This one was one of my faves. It is SO pigmented. This is a bright, warm gold with about 17 million silver sparkles. It’s absolutely amazing.

Regina – This one is darker than it looks like it’ll be. It’s an extremely dark purple with an eggplant shift over GG. The purple shift doesn’t show well over my Nars primer.

Ethereal Voice – This color is really hard to described. It’s like a dark red-purple, almost a merlot with gold sparkles. I asked my husband how he would describe this color, and he said ” fairy blood.” Also, don’t mind the messed up area on the right side of my swatches. I messed up with the GG.

That’s my entire Hello Waffle haul! Beautiful, isn’t it? After experiencing the quality, I am definitely going to have to try more!

Any recommendations on Hello Waffle colors I should try?
